Our Story
Narrow Gate Fencing LLC

Chris & Kaila Clippard own Narrow Gate Fencing, and the journey to where we are today wasn’t something we could have scripted ourselves. In 2020, Chris was laid off from his career as an industrial equipment mechanic — a season that brought unexpected change for so many families. During that time of uncertainty, Chris and his wife, Kaila, prayed and sought guidance about what direction to take next. Soon after, Chris began receiving calls from friends and community members needing fencing and construction work.

What many may not realize is that Chris has always had a sharp eye for detail and a drive for perfection. Building and creating have always come naturally to him. As word spread about the quality of his work, referrals increased, projects multiplied, and what began as a few jobs quickly grew into a full-fledged business.

The name Narrow Gate comes from Matthew 7:13–14, “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it." A reminder that the right path is not always the easiest one — but it is the one worth taking! With Jesus as our foundation, He shapes how we operate: choosing integrity over shortcuts and quality over convenience. We proudly serve Lincoln County and the surrounding communities. We use high-quality materials, deliver dependable customer service, and stand behind every fence we install.

If you’re in need of fencing, we would love the opportunity to serve you. We look forward to earning your trust and your business.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you offer a warranty?

Yes! We offer a one-year workmanship warranty for your peace of mind. Material warranties vary depending on the products selected. Contact us for more information about the specific warranties available for your chosen materials.

Do I need to be home during installation?

No, you don’t need to be home while we install your fence. We understand that taking time off work isn’t always possible. We simply ask that you provide your contact information so we can reach you if any questions or unexpected issues arise during the installation process.

How long will my fence last?

A fence’s lifespan depends on several factors, including the materials used, exposure to weather and other environmental conditions, and ongoing maintenance. With proper care, many fences can last 20 years or longer.

How tall can my fence be?

Most municipalities allow fences up to six feet tall, but height restrictions can vary depending on your location and local zoning regulations. We recommend checking with your city or town to confirm the requirements for your property before installation.

Do I need a permit to install a fence?

Permit requirements vary by municipality and local building codes. The property owner is responsible for determining whether a permit is required, obtaining the necessary permits, and covering any associated fees before installation begins.

Do I need a property survey?

A property survey isn’t required, but we highly recommend one if there’s any uncertainty about your property lines. Confirming your boundaries before installation can help prevent potential disputes with neighbors and ensure your fence is installed in the correct location. It’s always better to know your property lines upfront than to discover an issue after your fence is installed.

Who is responsible for locating underground utilities?

Before installation, we’ll contact 811 to have public underground utility lines marked on your property. Please note that 811 does not locate private utilities, such as privately installed water lines, gas lines, irrigation systems, landscape lighting, or electrical lines. The property owner is responsible for identifying and arranging the marking of any private underground utilities before installation begins.
